THE BRIEF:
TO DESIGN A PORTABLE IMMERSIVE ESCAPE ROOM EXPERIENCE THAT INCORPORATES ELEMENTS OF ITV'S 4 KEY SHOWS.
The INITIAL MEETING:

Our lead designer visited the location to meet with members of the ITV team. As a group a variety of ideas were discussed.
These included methods of incorporating the different shows, how to portray the different shows stylistically, key aspects of each show and a puzzle style for each show. The four shows that were selected were Vera, Endeavour, DCI Banks and Broadchurch.

The design team took all the information and came up with a first draft of the experience, after feedback from the ITV team this became a finalised design very quickly.
Dividing the room into four distinct areas to represent each of the shows. The premise of the game was that each detective had relevant information on a criminal that when combined would allow the team to apprehend them.
At the end of the day there was a press conference in the style of a debriefing for all the teams. The puzzles were styled towards each show, Endeavour with his history in cryptology used codes and ciphers whereas in DCI Banks section we used technology such as black lights in crime scenes.
